What Is Your “This”? 7

Esther has always been one of my favorite characters in the Bible. Her story is one of courage, faith and full disclosure….I’m drawn like a magnet to anything with a princess or queen! I have heard about her all my life and participated in a Bible study on the book of Esther a while back. However, have you ever heard something a thousand times and one day it jumps out at you like never before? That was me with this verse:

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 NTL

Wow! Esther was challenged to take a bold stand against the death and destruction soon to come against her people. If she chose to shy away, God would provide another tool for His kingdom work, but Esther’s legacy would never be remembered. Maybe she was positioned right here, right now for the purpose of helping to deliver her people.
This verse was one of many things God has used over the past two weeks to draw me into blogging. I have always had a heart and passion for people, especially women. I want to meet each of you where you are to encourage you, love on you and share a great big heaping helping of God’s grace, love and mercy.
Although blogging was never something I thought I could do, this powerful verse lit a fire under me. How could I stand back at a time when our world is darker than ever before? The world needs to hear the good news and, praise the Lord, I have it! Were all of the details and experiences of my life been orchestrated perfectly to bring me to this place? “For just such a time as this”? I totally believe the answer is yes! I stepped out in obedience and faith and sister, what a trip!
Now it’s your turn. What has God been pressing on your heart? Please please don’t ignore it. If you do, God will send someone else. Don’t rob yourself of the blessings and opportunity to grow. If you are being led to step out in faith, jump! Take it from me, God will not draw you out just to abandon you to figure it out on your own. He is the Great I Am and rewards an obedient child. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. You have been placed here for just such a time as this. Embrace whatever your “this” is. If God is calling you to do something that takes faith and courage, then what will your answer be?
Psst: If your not sure, read the book of Esther. The same God is still on the throne and longs to do His kingdom work through you!
